Cannot Feel Force Effects When Connected to CH Rudder Pedals

SYMPTOMS

When you connect the Microsoft SideWinder Force Feedback Pro joystick to CH Products rudder pedals, you may not feel force effects.


CAUSE

This behavior can occur because the CH Products rudder pedals do not pass the force effects from the game port to the SideWinder Force Feedback Pro joystick.


RESOLUTION

You may be able to work around this issue by using a serial adapter to connect the SideWinder Force Feedback Pro joystick to a serial port on the computer. To do this, follow these steps:

  1. Connect the CH Products rudder pedals to the game port.


  2. Connect a Microsoft serial adapter to the CH Products rudder pedals and to a serial port on the computer.


  3. Connect the SideWinder Force Feedback Pro to the serial adapter.
