Expected Action Delayed or Ignored When Using SideWinder Profile

SYMPTOMS

When you press a button on the game controller, the action you expect may be delayed or ignored if you play a game using a profile created in the Microsoft SideWinder Profile Editor.

CAUSE

This behavior can occur if the profile you are using contains a long macro for another button on the game controller.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, either reduce the length of the macro or remove it completely.

MORE INFORMATION

When you press a button with a macro assigned to it, the SideWinder Game Device or Game Controller software must complete all commands in the macro before it can accept input from another button on the game controller.
