SideWinder FreeStyle Pro USB Does Not Work in Return of Arcade

SYMPTOMS

The USB version of the Microsoft SideWinder FreeStyle Pro game pad does not work in any of the games included in Microsoft Return of Arcade.

NOTE: The following games are included in Return of Arcade:

Dig Dug

Galaxian

Pac Man

Pole Position

RESOLUTION

To use the SideWinder FreeStyle Pro in Return of Arcade, connect the game pad directly to the game port on your computer. Do not use the USB adapter to connect the SideWinder FreeStyle Pro to a USB port on the computer.

To use any game controller in Return of Arcade, you must enable joystick control in the game you want to play. To do this, follow these steps:

Start the Return of Arcade game you want to play.

On the Options menu, click Player Controls.

Under Control Options, click to select the Joystick Control check box, and then click OK.
