SYMPTOMS

When you connect a Microsoft SideWinder Dual Strike, SideWinder Game Pad Pro, or SideWinder Precision Racing Wheel to the Universal Serial Bus (USB) port on your computer, two copies of the SideWinder game controller device are listed under the Sound, video, and game controllers branch in Device Manager.

STATUS

This behavior is by design.

MORE INFORMATION

Do not remove or disable either copy of the Microsoft SideWinder game controller device in Device Manager. If you do so, the game controller cannot function properly.
