SYMPTOMS

When you start the Game Controllers tool in Control Panel, the image of the game controller may not appear in the game controller properties dialog box.

CAUSE

This behavior can occur if you start the Game Controllers tool from within Microsoft Combat Flight Simulator.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft SideWinder Game Controller software version 4.0.
