MNK Pro Err Msg: Cannot Start an Internet Browser

SYMPTOMS

When you press the Web/Home Internet Hot Key on the Microsoft Natural Keyboard Pro, you may receive the following error message:

IntelliType Pro Error

Cannot start an Internet browser. A supported Internet browser is not installed. Please see the Online User's Guide to install a supported browser.


CAUSE

This error can occur if either of the following conditions is true:

  • A supported Internet browser is not installed on your computer.


  • The supported Internet browser installed on your computer is not set to be the default browser.


RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, use one or both of the following methods.

Install A Supported Internet Browser

Set the Supported Browser to Be the Default Browser

Set the supported browser to be the default browser. To do this:
  1. Start the supported Internet browser.


  2. When you are prompted to set the browser to be the default browser, click Yes.

    NOTE: If you choose not to perform this check in the future and then click No, you are no longer prompted to set the browser to be the default browser.
