IntelliPoint: Cannot Access IntelliPoint Features in Mouse Tool

• Microsoft IntelliPoint software versions 2.0, 2.1, 2.2

SYMPTOMS

If an administrator installs the Microsoft IntelliPoint software on a computer running Microsoft Windows NT 4.0, users of the computer cannot gain access to the IntelliPoint features of the Mouse tool in Control Panel.

CAUSE

Administrator privileges are required to gain access to the IntelliPoint features of the Mouse tool in Control Panel.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, install the IntelliPoint software version 2.2.

The IntelliPoint software version 2.2 Setup program does not restrict access to the IntelliPoint features of the Mouse tool in Control Panel to administrators when the software is installed by an administrator.
