IntelliPoint Software Disables DeltaTalker and Liberator Clicks

The information in this article applies to:
  • Microsoft IntelliPoint software, versions 2.0, 2.1, 2.2

SYMPTOMS

When you install the Microsoft IntelliPoint software, your DeltaTalker or Liberator SerialKey device may no longer function properly.


CAUSE

This behavior can occur because the IntelliPoint software is incompatible with SerialKey devices.


RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, remove the IntelliPoint software. To do so, follow these steps:

  1. Click Start, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel.


  2. Double-click Add/Remove Programs.


  3. On the Install/Uninstall tab, click Microsoft IntelliPoint, and then click Add/Remove.


  4. Follow the instructions on the screen to remove the IntelliPoint software.


If the issue continues to occur, reinstall Microsoft Windows. To preserve your current Windows settings, make sure you reinstall Windows in the same folder in which it is currently installed.


STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed in the applies to section of this article.
