The information in this article applies to:
  • Microsoft IntelliMouse version 1.0
  • Microsoft IntelliPoint software versions 2.2, 2.2a, 2.2c, 2.2d, 3.0

SYMPTOMS

If you use a switch box to connect two computers to a single Microsoft IntelliMouse pointing device, the pointer may behave erratically when you attempt to switch between the computers.

CAUSE

This behavior can occur if you connect the IntelliMouse to a Belkin switch box other than the OmniView SE (model F1D074).

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, connect the Intellimouse to a Belkin OmniView SE switch box or use a standard two-button style mouse.

NOTE: To enable wheel functionality, you must connect the IntelliMouse to the PS/2 port on the switch box.
