IntelliPoint 3.0: Program Does Not Respond As Expected to Mouse Button Click

SYMPTOMS

When you click a mouse button, the program you are using may not respond as expected.


CAUSE

This behavior can occur if both of the following conditions are true:

  • You assigned a different function to the mouse button in the Mouse tool in Control Panel.


  • The program you are using does not recognize the function assigned to the mouse button, or the program includes native support for the default function of the mouse button.


RESOLUTION

To work around this issue, configure the mouse to use the default function for the mouse button. To do this:

  1. Click Start, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel.


  2. Double-click Mouse.


  3. On the Buttons tab, click Use Default, and then click OK.
