SUMMARYAccording to Club American Computers, Inc., the Microsoft Mouse does not work on the Club 386/SX computer if the COM ports have been disabled by the BIOS. MORE INFORMATIONThe AMI BIOS in the Club 386/SX machine has an "Advanced Chipset" setting that allows you select addresses for the COM ports, as well as enable and disable them. Even if a port is disabled, the debug script d40:0 may show the port address as enabled, as follows:
To enable the port, you must go into the CMOS setup under "Advanced
Chipset" and enable the COM port. You may also need to change the COM port
addresses if they are not set correctly. If you do not know how to change a
COM port address, you should contact Club American Computer, or the store
where you purchased the computer.
