System Resources Lost After Quitting Internet Explorer

SYMPTOMS

After you quit Internet Explorer, the amount of available system resources may be less than the amount available before you started Internet Explorer.


RESOLUTION

To recover the system resources lost while using Internet Explorer, quit and restart Windows.

Microsoft is researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.


MORE INFORMATION

To help prevent the loss of system resources, avoid starting and quitting Internet Explorer multiple times during a single Windows session.
