Internet Explorer Starter Kit CD-ROM Hides Windows 95

SYMPTOMS

When you insert the Internet Explorer Starter Kit CD-ROM, the Windows 95 interface is hidden from view. You do not see the taskbar, the Start button, or a title bar.


CAUSE

The Iesk.exe program on the CD-ROM is started automatically and fills the screen.


RESOLUTION

To quit the Iesk.exe program, use one of the following methods:

  • Click Exit on the left side of the screen. If you do not see the word "Exit," click the animated globe icon in the lower left corner, and then click Exit.


  • Press ALT+F4.


  • To display the Start button and taskbar, press CTRL+ESC.


  • To switch to another running program, press ALT+TAB.
