SYMPTOMSWhen you use Microsoft Internet Explorer version 2.0 to view a Web page that uses the BGSOUND tag (a reference to a background sound file on a Web page), the .wav (audio) file may seem to be downloaded but may not be played. CAUSE
The server on which the Web page is located is using European Microsoft
Windows NT Academic Centre (EMWAC) version .94 for the Hypertext Transfer
Protocol Service (HTTPS).
RESOLUTIONThis problem was corrected in EMWAC server version .98. The administrator of the server must upgrade to this updated version. MORE INFORMATION

as a HyperMedia service because it allows pointers to different media
items: text, pictures, sounds, video clips, and so on.
