Cannot See Text or Links on Web Page

ID: Q154929

The information in this article applies to:
  • Microsoft Internet Explorer version 3.0 for Windows 95

SYMPTOMS

You may not be able to see text or links on a Web page after a marquee has been placed on the page.

CAUSE

This behavior is caused by a misspelled Marquee tag in the document source. The tags may be spelled <MARQUE></MARQUE> instead of the correct spelling <MARQUEE></MARQUEE>. The misspelling causes the rest of the text on the page not to be displayed.

RESOLUTION

Correct the spelling in the source document or notify the Web site's administrator of the misspelling.
