SYMPTOMS

When you start Internet Explorer from a command prompt using the -nohome switch and then click the Mail button on the toolbar and select Send A Link, you receive the following error message:

IEXPLORE caused an invalid page fault in module SHDOCVW.DLL at 0137:7150319c.


CAUSE

Using the -nohome switch does not enter a Uniform Resource Locator (URL) in the address box. A URL is necessary for the Send A Link option to work.


RESOLUTION

Do not start Internet Explorer using the -nohome switch if you want to send a link.
