SYMPTOMSWhen you attempt to load a Web page that automatically plays a movie clip or when you click a link to a movie clip in Microsoft Internet Explorer version 3.0 or 3.01 for Windows 95, the following error message may be displayed:
CAUSEThis problem may occur when the movie clip you are attempting to play is not compatible with Media Player. By default, Windows 95 is configured so that Media Player is used to play media clips. RESOLUTION
If ActiveMovie is not already installed on your computer, you may be able
to work around this problem by installing it.
Removing Internet ExplorerIf ActiveMovie is not installed, remove Internet Explorer, and then reinstall it by using the Setup program.To remove Internet Explorer 3.0 or 3.1, follow these steps:
Reinstalling Internet ExplorerAfter you remove Internet Explorer, run the Setup program to reinstall it. If you are prompted whether to select the Internet components that are installed, click Yes. Click the Full installation option.If ActiveMovie is also unable to play the movie clip, you must install a third-party program that is able to play movie clips with the format that you are attempting to play.
