CAUSEThis error can occur if the registry entry for the Internet Explorer Uninstall tool points to an incorrect location on the hard disk. RESOLUTION
WARNING: Using Registry Editor incorrectly can cause serious problems
that may require you to reinstall Windows 95. Microsoft cannot guarantee
that problems resulting from the incorrect use of Registry Editor can be
solved. Use Registry Editor at your own risk.
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\ Internet Explorer.For example, change the UninstallString value to the following path (including quotation marks): "c:\progra~1\plus!\micros~1\infinst.exe" uninstallTo determine short file names, right-click each of the folders in the path to the Infinst.exe file, click Properties on the menu that appears, and note the MS-DOS name.
