SYMPTOMSWhen you click a link that refers to a Web address that contains a tilde (~) character, Internet Explorer may seem to stop responding (hang). CAUSEThis behavior occurs if a link uses "%7E" in place of "~" in the Hyper Text Markup Language (HTML) reference to the Web address and the Web page the Web address refers to uses the Recreational Software Advisory Council, Platform for Internet Content Selection (RSACi-PICS) rating system. RESOLUTIONTo resolve this issue, upgrade to the latest version of Microsoft Internet Explorer. The latest version can be installed from the Microsoft Web site on the Internet.
