SUMMARY

Internet Explorer Help incorrectly states that the maximum depth of linked pages you can download when you configure subscriptions for offline viewing is five.

MORE INFORMATION

The maximum depth of linked pages you can download when you configure subscriptions for offline viewing is three. To specify the depth of linked pages to be downloaded, follow these steps in Internet Explorer or My Computer:

  1. On the Favorites menu, click Manage Subscriptions.

  2. Right-click the subscription you want to configure, and then click Properties.

  3. On the Receiving tab, click "Notify me when updates occur, and download for offline viewing," and then click Advanced.

  4. Specify a number in the "Download linked pages within a depth of <n>" box, where <n> is a number between 0 and 3.

NOTE: If you right-click "Download linked pages within a depth of <n>," or if you click the question mark in the upper-right corner of the Advanced Download Options dialog box and then click "Download linked pages within a depth of <n>," Internet Explorer Help incorrectly states that you can download the specified Web site up to five levels deep.

  5. Click OK, and then click OK again.
