Print Problem with Internet Explorer 3.x and Hewlett-Packard 3Si

SYMPTOMS

When you are using Internet Explorer with a multilanguage add-on, you may not be able to print correctly to a Hewlett-Packard (HP) 3Si printer. This issue is known to occur with the following multilanguage add-ons:

  • Chinese (Simplified)


  • Japanese



CAUSE

This issue can occur if the Print TrueType As Graphics option is disabled.


RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, follow these steps:

  1. Click Start, point to Settings, and then click Printers.


  2. Right-click HP Laserjet 3Si, and then click Properties.


  3. Click the Fonts tab, click Print True Type As Graphics, and then click OK.


  4. Close Printers.
