Thumbnail View Displays Folder Contents in One Column

SYMPTOMS

When you enable Thumbnail view for a folder, the contents of the folder may be displayed in one column.

CAUSE

This behavior can occur if you are running Internet Explorer 4.01 Service Pack 1.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this problem, click Refresh on the View menu to display the contents of the folder in multiple columns.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the products listed at the beginning of this article.
