Cannot Use BACKSPACE Key in Internet Explorer Help

SYMPTOMS

When you press the BACKSPACE key to delete text you typed on the Index tab in Internet Explorer Help, nothing may happen.

RESOLUTION

To work around this behavior, use any of the following methods:

Method 1

Use the mouse to select the text that you want to delete, right-click the selected text, and then click Delete.

Method 2

Press the LEFT ARROW or RIGHT ARROW key to move the insertion point to the beginning of the text you want to delete, and then press the DELETE key to delete the text.
