Cannot Change Font Family Used By a Web Page

SYMPTOMS

When you click the "Ignore font styles specified on Web pages" check box to select it in the Accessibility dialog box, some Web pages may not use the font family you specify.


CAUSE

This problem can occur if a Web page uses style sheets.


STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article.


MORE INFORMATION

The "Ignore font styles specified on Web pages" check box enables you to override the font family (for example, Times New Roman or Arial) used on a Web page with the font family you specify in Internet Explorer. This setting does not override fonts specified by Web page style sheets.
