Type jview at a command prompt to display the version of the currently installed Microsoft VM. All versions of the Microsoft VM are backwards compatible with earlier versions of Internet Explorer. For example, Microsoft VM build 3186 runs on Internet Explorer versions 5, 4.x, and 3.x. All of these updated Microsoft VMs provide support for Java Native Interface (JNI).
