SYMPTOMS

When you attempt to view a Web site using the released version of Internet Explorer 5, you may receive the following error message:

Website does not support the beta version of Microsoft Internet Explorer 5


CAUSE

This behavior can occur if the Web site you are trying to view does not detect the released version of Internet Explorer 5.


RESOLUTION

Currently, there is no resolution if a Web site does not detect the released version of Internet Explorer 5.

To work around this behavior, use one of the following methods:

Method 1

Uninstall Internet Explorer 5 and install Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.

Method 2
