SYMPTOMSOn a Web page that has an <OBJECT> tag, the object may never be rendered in the Web browser. In Internet Explorer 4.01 Service Pack 2 (SP2), the progress meter gets to about half but never finishes, the status bar never reaches "done," and the mouse pointer remains an hourglass. Also, when you click inside the object area, the browser's title bar changes to match the title of the object target (for example: about:blank). CAUSEThis behavior occurs if the Web page contains an item enclosed by the <OBJECT> tag that resides on a server other than the server on which the host page resides. RESOLUTIONTo work around this behavior, modify the Web page so that the <OBJECT> tag points to a location on the same server as the server on which the host page resides. STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed
