SYMPTOMSAfter you upgrade to Windows 98 Second Edition, Windows 2000, or Internet Explorer 5, the Manage Subscriptions option from Internet Explorer 4.x is no longer available on the Favorites menu. Additionally, the Subscription tab is missing in the properties of your subscribed favorites. CAUSEThis behavior occurs because the Internet Explorer 4.x subscription feature is called Synchronize and is available on the Tools menu in Internet Explorer 5. Synchronization settings for individual favorites are available using the "Make available offline" or Synchronize commands on the menu that appears when you right-click a favorite, or from the Web Document, Schedule, or Download tabs that are available when you click Properties on the menu that appears when you right-click one of your offline (subscribed) favorites. RESOLUTIONTo work around this behavior, use the appropriate procedure from the "Making pages available for offline viewing" topic in Internet Explorer Help. To view this Help topic, click Contents and Index on the Help menu in Internet Explorer, click the Contents tab, click Browsing the Web Offline, and then click Making pages available offline. STATUSThis behavior is by design. Additional query words:
