Internet Explorer Linked Pages Are Being Cached in Frame Set

The information in this article applies to:

SYMPTOMS

If you save a Web page that contains framesets to the Favorites folder and the the Web page designer changes the links to any of the framesets, the changes are not reflected in the shortcut in your Favorites folder.


RESOLUTION

A supported fix that corrects this problem is now available from Microsoft, but it has not been fully regression tested and should be applied only to systems experiencing this specific problem. If you are not severely affected by this specific problem, Microsoft recommends that you wait for the next Internet Explorer 5 service pack that contains this fix.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Internet Explorer 5.
