SYMPTOMSThe version of Internet Explorer included with Microsoft Office 2000 does not retain the automatic configuration script address when you click to clear the Use automatic configuration script check box. Instead, the address is deleted and you must enter the address again to be able to use this feature. RESOLUTIONA supported fix that corrects this problem is now available from Microsoft, but
it has not been fully regression tested and should be applied only to systems
experiencing this specific problem. If you are not severely affected by this
specific problem, Microsoft recommends that you wait for the next release of Internet Explorer
