Cannot Run Two Instances of the Same Java Program

SYMPTOMS

Two Java programs with two different host bases running in two different instances of Internet Explorer 5 experience problems if both programs attempt to load a Web address (URL) into two different frames of the same name (each frame is within a different instance of the browser) by using the showDocument(...) function. The first instance of the program works, but the second does not.


RESOLUTION

A supported fix that corrects this problem is now available from Microsoft, but it has not been fully regression tested and should be applied only to systems experiencing this specific problem. If you are not severely affected by this specific problem, Microsoft recommends that you wait for the next release of Internet Explorer that contains this fix.
