SYMPTOMSIf the audit level for Microsoft Internet Finance Server Toolkit is set to the highest level, the data level, it may cause the server to stop responding with a stack overflow. CAUSEThe data level of audit logging is not meant to be used in any sort of rigorous environment, and is strictly added as a debugging tool for developers running minimal tests on the Microsoft Internet Finance Server Toolkit platform. This logging code uses local variables to hold potentially large pieces of data, which will cause the stack overflow. RESOLUTIONTo avoid this problem, do not turn on the data level of audit logging. It should only be used in non-critical development environments. STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed this to be a bug in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article.
