The information in this article applies to:
SYMPTOMSWhen the FileSystemObject object is instantiated by Internet Explorer 3.x with Scripting 2.0, the error message "Object not safe for scripting" appears. This warning occurs regardless of the current security setting. CAUSE
The FileSystemObject object is not considered safe for scripting because it
allows access to the hard disk.
RESOLUTIONThis problem has been fixed in Internet Explorer 4.0. STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed this to be a bug in the Microsoft products listed
