SYMPTOMSMicrosoft Developer Studio, MSDEV, crashes when creating a new Visual J++ (VJ++) project with the Java Applet Wizard. This occurs only after opening a Visual C++ (VC++) project, which resides on a network drive, with a VJ++- only installation of MSDEV. RESOLUTIONTo work around this problem, after opening a VC++ project in a VJ++-only installation of MSDEV, exit and restart MSDEV. STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article. We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base, as it becomes available.
