FIX: Visual J++ Crashes When Adding All ActiveX Controls to Toolbox

SYMPTOMS

Visual J++ 6.0 crashes when you add every available ActiveX control using the ActiveX Controls tab in Customize Toolbox under the Tools menu.


STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a bug in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article.

Steps to Reproduce Behavior

  1. Start Visual J++ 6.0.


  2. Under the Tools menu, point to Customize Toolbox.


  3. Click the ActiveX Controls tab.


  4. Select every ActiveX control and click OK.
