SYMPTOMSUnderlining that is also formatted as bold prints thicker than underlining that is not formatted as bold. CAUSEThis behavior occurs when you print to a Color Quickdraw printer. By contrast, when you print to a PostScript printer, the underline thickness will appear the same whether the bold formatting has been applied or not. WORKAROUNDRemove the bold or underline formatting. STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Word versions 5.1 and 6.0 for the Macintosh. We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
