SYMPTOMSIn Word, when you open an RFT-DCA (Revisable Form Text-Document Content Architecture) document containing centered text, a number of spaces may appear to the left of the centered text, resulting in the text appearing too far right on the page. CAUSEWhen text is centered in DisplayWrite using the CTRL+C command, DisplayWrite inserts leading spaces to "center" the text. Word for Windows 6.0a (and earlier) applies centered paragraph alignment and correctly removes these spaces when it imports the file. The RFT-DCA converter included with Word 6.0c for Windows and with Word 6.x for the Macintosh fails to remove these spaces. RESOLUTIONAfter conversion, remove the unwanted spaces. STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the RFT-DCA converter supplied with Word version 6.0c for Windows and Word versions 6.x for the Macintosh. This problem was corrected in Microsoft Word 6.0 for Windows NT, Microsoft Word for Windows, versions 7.x and later, and Microsoft Word 98 Macintosh Edition.
