The information in this article applies to:
SYMPTOMSIf you insert a Map object on your worksheet, controls on various toolbars (Picture and Drawing for example) may not be available, depending on how you inserted the Map. CAUSE
If you click Map on the Insert menu to insert a Map object on your
worksheet, the inserted object is treated like an ActiveX control. Picture
editing like changes to brightness and contrast for example, may not be
available. Also, any changes you make on the Picture tab of the Format
Object dialog box are ignored and the next time you click this tab, the
changes you made are reset to their default values.
RESOLUTION
For the Microsoft Map object to behave like a standard OLE object and allow
editing changes (to brightness and contrast for example), do the following:

maps, click Search, and then click to view "Create a map."
