ID: q177890

The information in this article applies to:
  • Microsoft Word 98 Macintosh Edition

SYMPTOMS

When you create an HTML title for a Web page document and then save, Close, and re-open the document, the HTML Title is displayed in the document title bar rather than the document file name.

To create an HTML Title in Word:

  1. On the File menu, click Properties.

  2. In the Title box, type the HTML Title.

  3. Click OK.

CAUSE

By design, if there is a <TITLE> tag in your HTML document, Word makeS the title of the document window the same as the HTML title.
