SUMMARY
If your computer is infected with the NOINT virus and you try to install
MS-DOS 6.x or an Microsoft Office 4.2 program, your 3.5-inch installation
floppy disks are damaged if the write-protected notch is in the closed (not
write-protected) position. The disks are left with 17 files on each disk
and are unusable. When you try to install an Office 4.2 product, you
receive the following error message:

The 3.5-inch MS-DOS and Microsoft Office disks have write-protected tabs
that enable you to write to the disks. The 5.25-inch disks are permanently
write protected.
