The DirectX Diagnostic Tool is a troubleshooting tool you can use to help
determine if DirectX is working correctly and has all the necessary files
installed.
C:\Program Files\Directx\SetupNOTE: The file name of the DirectX Diagnostic Tool is Dxdiag.exe. The following information describes the contents of the different tabs in the DirectX Diagnostic Tool dialog box. HelpThis tab displays information about your computer and the version of DirectX installed on your computer.DirectX FilesThe DirectX Files tab lists the names and version numbers of the DirectX files installed on your computer. This tab also displays warning messages if there are any problems.DirectX DriversThe DirectX Drivers tab lists the names and version numbers of the DirectX driver files installed on your computer. This tab also displays warning messages if there are any problems.DisplayThe Display tab shows your current Display settings, provides tests for both DirectDraw and Direct3D, and allows you to enable or disable hardware acceleration. This tab also displays warning messages if there are any problems.SoundThe Sound tab shows your current Sound settings and provides a test for DirectSound.
