Mastering Visual C++, Mastering Access: No CD Key

SYMPTOMS

When you run Setup for the Mastering programs listed at the top of this article, you receive the following prompts:

...locate ten-digit CD key number and enter it in the space below.

-and-

You can find this number on the sticker on the back of your CD case.

However, no sticker is on the back of your compact disc case, and you are unable to install the application.

CAUSE

The CD Key number was not included on the back of the CD case. The CD key number is required for Setup to proceed; without this number, Setup fails.

RESOLUTION

Use the following number when you are prompted for your CD KEY number:

900-2255777

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the products listed at the top of this article. We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
