SYMPTOMSIf you use universal naming convention (UNC) style paths to refer to the locations of spelling libraries in the WIN.INI file, the following error message appears:
CAUSEMicrosoft Office products (such as Microsoft Excel and Word) enable you to use UNC paths to refer to the locations of their spelling libraries. Microsoft Mail does not have this functionality. RESOLUTION
Spelling 1033,0=E:\MSSPEL2.DLL,E:\MSSP2_EN.LEX STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed this to be a problem in versions 3.0, 3.0b, and 3.2 of Microsoft Mail for Windows.
