SYMPTOMSMicrosoft Mail Gateway to MHS displays a /u (with an umlaut) and a blank subject line on an incoming MHS message. CAUSEThis problem is caused by the Notification-Correlator field. It is not in the SMF-70 specification governing MHS, and the gateway is not designed to handle it. RESOLUTION
A supported fix that corrects this problem is now available from Microsoft,
but has not been fully regression-tested and should be applied only to
systems experiencing this specific problem.
