PC Ext: Viewing a Queue with More Than 50 Messages

-
Microsoft Mail for PC Networks, version 3.5
SUMMARY
To view messages that are queued for delivery to an external postoffice,
start the Mail Administration program (ADMIN.EXE), select Queue, and type
the network and postoffice names.
When you view the queue, the newest message is at the top, and the oldest
message is at the bottom of the display.
Anytime more than 50 messages are queued for a specific external
postoffice, ADMIN.EXE will only display 50 of them at a time. As a result,
the newest message in this group of 50 will be displayed at the top of the
queue, and the oldest message will be at the bottom. However, these
messages will not necessarily be the oldest or newest messages in the
queue. The messages you see are displayed in the order in which they appear
in the external postoffice mailbag.
MORE INFORMATION
Each external postoffice has a .KEY and .MBG file that store the message
headers and pointers to the messages (mail files) for that postoffice. The
.KEY contains (among other information) a bit map of the deleted and
non-deleted mail message pointers in a .MBG file.
When a new message is place into a .MBG, it is put into the first available
place. The next message will be put into the next available place, which
may or may not be the next physical record in the .MBG.
