PC Rmt: Textborder Is Off in Remote Client

The information in this article applies to:

Microsoft Mail Remote for MS-DOS, version 3.0

SYMPTOMS

Remote mail messages come out of the gateway UUENCODED.

CAUSE

The remote client cuts off the text border one character short. The gateways uses this field to strip off the header.

RESOLUTION

A supported fix that corrects this problem is now available from Microsoft, but has not been fully regression tested and should be applied only to systems experiencing this specific problem.

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft Mail Remote for MS-DOS version 3.0.
