PC Rmt: Remote Mail Client Cannot Address Local FFAPI Gateway PO

  • Microsoft Mail Remote for MS-DOS, version 3.0


SYMPTOMS

Users do not see the local users of their own FFAPI gateway postoffice.


CAUSE

The FFAPI postoffice is not defined as an external postoffice in the Network list as it is the local postoffice.


RESOLUTION

A supported fix that corrects this problem is now available from Microsoft, but has not been fully regression tested and should be applied only to systems experiencing this specific problem.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft Mail Remote for MS-DOS version 3.0.
