SUMMARYWhen a station, program, and stream are configured on a Windows Media Server, multicast traffic may come from the server even when the program has not been started. This allows clients that tune in early to a multicast to go into the waiting state, and automatically activate when the program for that multicast station is started. MORE INFORMATIONThis is a heart-beat packet that the server sends out every two seconds when you have a station configured. The packet size of the heart beat is only about 50 bytes and should not cause any server or network load. If you do not want to have this packet come from the server, delete the multicast station.
