The information in this article applies to:
SYMPTOMSThe connection between the two Broadcast Publishing Points (BPP) moves from "Streaming" to "Open" (as reported in the Publishing Point Clients administration page on the first BPP). Data from the live stream ceases to be sent between the servers. Connecting clients, such as the Microsoft Windows Media Player, are therefore unable to stream at all, and eventually time out with the following error message: If you close the open connection between servers, the new clients can once again connect to the second BPP and stream data. CAUSEThe connection between the BPP is not properly closed when a sustained signal loss occurs. RESOLUTIONA supported fix that corrects this problem is now available from Microsoft, but
it has not been fully regression tested and should be applied only to systems
