When you try to convert a large Microsoft Access 2.0, 95, or 97 database
(typically 4 megabytes (MB) and larger) to Microsoft Access 2000, the
status bar displays the word "Converting," and then switches to the word
"Ready." After a short time, the status bar changes to "Compact," "Saving,"
and finally, back to "Ready." You may or may not see an hourglass during
the first period when the status bar displays "Ready."
MORE INFORMATIONAlthough it may appear that Microsoft Access has stopped responding, the conversion is completed without any known problems, and the converted database files work correctly in Access 2000. Additional query words: convert trouble
